Receipts totaled 937 head with no sale on Monday due to the New Year’s Holiday. Compared to two weeks ago the market continued to be active with good demand. The stocker steers sold steady to $5-$8 higher with 2 steers 558 lbs at $295.00 ($1646.10). The stocker heifers were steady with 7 heifers 489 lbs at $278.00 ($1359.42). The feeder steers were $8-$15 higher with 2 steers 720 lbs at $252.00 ($1814.40) and 11 steers 730 lbs at $247.00 ($1803.10). The feeder heifers were $5-$10 higher. Packer bulls and packer cows were steady. The Shady Oaks Charolais Bulls avg $4477, and the SimAngus Bulls avg $4938 and the Read Ranch Charolais Bulls avg $4000.
