Even though the museum was closed in December, it was still a busy place. Besides the county 6th graders touring, several artifacts that expand on our county’s story were donated.
Jason Lewis brought two bul-let pencils and a check from the 1910s to be added to the First National Bank display.
Kay Clark donated copies of Texas State Land office land patents here in San Saba County dated 1857 and 1863 which were given to her ancestors.
C.K. Stevenson brought the rope ladder made by his father in 1935. Mr. Stevenson used it to get high into trees when he was thrashing pecans.
We have received a number of wonderful artifacts in 2023, and we wish to thank all of our generous donors for sharing their piece of San Saba County history.
