Receipts totaled 6,942 head. The demand continued to be very strong on cattle that were able to go to wheat fields now or grass in the spring. The bigger cattle were a little more due to the large swings we have had in the futures market. Stocker steers were $8--
$18 higher with 2 steers 543 lbs at
$275.00 ($1493.25), and 11 steers
634 lbs at $253.00 ($1604.02). The stocker heifers were $7-$12 higher with 2 heifers 460 lbs at
$290.00 ($1334.00). The feeder steers were steady to $4-$5 lower and feeder heifers were steady to
$3-$4 lower. Packer cows and bulls were steady. Pairs and bred cows were higher and in very strong demand.
