Receipts totaled 3,010 head. Demand was good this week even with the futures market continuing to move lower as the week went along. The stocker steers and heifers were $5-$7 lower after last weeks increases. The feeder steers were $4-$5 higher, and the feeder heifers were steady to $2 lower. Packer cows were $2-$3 lower, and bulls were $1-$2 lower with very few bulls being on the high yielding side. Pairs and bred cows sold steady on a limited test. The Knox BrothersAngus bulls avg $4328.57 with the top bull at $6500. The Knox Brothers Hereford Bulls avg $3162.50. The Hill County Youth Commercial Heifer Sale on Wednesday was very successful with 440 head. The bigger longer aged medium to long bred heifers sold from $2000 up to $4900, and the younger and heifers carrying less flesh that were short to long bred ranged from $1600 up to $1975. The open heifers sold from $1250 up to $2400 with just a few of these being offered.
