Local Church hosts Guest Preacher

Dr. Kevin Huddleston will be the guest preacher at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 9615 FM 2732, on Sunday, August 27. Kevin grew up in Ira, Texas, and holds degrees from Western Texas College, Abilene Christian University, a Masters in Religious Education in Missional Leadership from Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and a Doctor of Ministry in Missional and Spiritual Foundation from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Married to Shelly, who serves as an Assistant Superintendent with the San Angelo Independent School District, they are parents to two grown daughters and grandparents to Hudson and Judah.

For thirty years Kevin was the Youth and Family Minister at Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo. He now serves as Director of Ministries for Arms of Hope, a Christian care organization with campuses in Medina, Quinlan, Dallas, Denton, Ft. Worth, Houston and SanAntonio. Serving over 2,000 single moms and children, with approximately 24% coming out of human trafficking. Kevin serves as minister of equipping and pastoral care for a leadership team of 14 ministers, directors, social workers, and an overall staff of 105.

Kevin also serves as Chaplain for the San Angelo Fire Department, he is an annual speaker for Camp Eagle and Glorieta camps in Texas and New Mexico, and the Concho Valley Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Preaching on Luke 10:1-12, his sermon will be 'The Journey of Spiritual Formation.' Worship begins at 9:30 a.m.
