San Saba County Museum is sporting a new look

There are now eleven colorful panels that depict San Saba County History across the front of the museum. The theme of the panels is how San Saba County’s water resource is the pivotable point of settlement and the economy, beginning with the earliest native Americans who hunted and gathered here.

The San Saba County Museum Foundation Board is so happy that we are now able to share a snapshot of our county’s history with all the many visitors to Mill Pond Park whether the museum is open or not.

We want to thank everyone who helped bring this project to fruition, beginning with Celia Bell who had the inspiration and lead the dedicated Curb Appeal Committee who did the research and worked with Found Texas who did the design work. The LCRA Community Development Partnership Program Grant made it possible for the panels to be printed and installed by The Prynt Shop on the wall freshly painted by the City of San Saba. We would also like to thank all of you that support the museum throughout the year and hope you will visit soon.

Our regular hours for an indoor visit are Saturday and Sunday 1:30-4:00 April through October.
