The regular Thursday lunch meeting of San Saba Rotary met at Pepperbelly’s with President Beth Griess presiding. In anticipation of installation of new officers for the upcoming year, Ms. Griess and those members in attendance reviewed the 20222023 year.
Accomplishments included: the increase in active participant memberships from 22 members to 25; raising public profile and awareness of international, national, state, and local Rotary goals and community activities with the publishing of regular newspaper and Facebook articles; induction of seven new members; the successful golf tournament which saw good participation and raised $12,000 in scholarship monies awarded to students from Cherokee, Richland Springs, and San Saba ISDs ; ongoing Student of the Month recognition at SS High School; continuance of the US flag and San Saba spirit flags program; contribution to Mission San Saba; ongoing Rotary educational program speakerships; and continued volunteerism in highway cleanup and community involvement.
Installation of new officers for next year will occur at the next Thursday luncheon meeting.
