The Hill Country Cattle-Women are pleased to announce the 2023 Trade School and High School Collegiate scholarship recipients. Scholarships are awarded to applicants on the basis of scholastic achievement and community service. The Hill Country CattleWomen Scholarship Committee awarded $8,900 to 15 exceptional candidates.
Trade School Scholarship recipients are: Zane Schubert of Harper; James Jenschke and Riley Ellebracht of Fredericksburg; Todd Cavness of Cherokee; and Coy Mock of Mason. High School Collegiate Scholarship recipients are: Cooper Lewis, Carter Wood, Kamrynn Baethge, and Silas Sander of Harper; Molly Rector and Maggie Rector of Kerrville; and Grace Sagebiel, Ridley Strackbein, Owen Staudt, and Jenna Wallendorf of Fredericksburg. Each Scholarship recipient embraces an interest in the promotion of agriculture and/or the beef industry.
The Hill Country Cattlewomen’s membership covers 14 counties in the beautiful Texas Hill Country including Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Edwards, Gil-lespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Real and San Saba. The biyearly spring “Roundup” as well as membership dues generate monies to provide scholarships.
