Shown are participants in the balloon release and reading of the Proclamation concerning Child Abuse Prevention Month. A great number of people turned out for this event held on Thursday, April 13th, and coordinated by employees of the City and County of San Saba. Participants wore blue and released blue balloons in honor of 'Go Blue Day,' which recognizes the impact of abuse and neglect on child victims. The goal of this event is to help raise awareness of the need for cohesive communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect.
