The San Saba Middle School Tennis Team played in the Mason Middle School Tournament on Friday-Saturday, April 21-22. Teams playing in the tournament were San Saba, Mason, Fredericksburg, Wall, Center Point, Hunt, Ingram, Johnson City, and Junction. Playing for San Saba in the B Division on Friday, April 21 were Ana Rangel, Karen Correa, Ally Sweitzer, Ari Martinez, Holly English, Zoraya Cuevas, Dylan Hanna, Isaac Hernandez, Tucker Johnson, and Angel Reyes. Isaac Hernandez and Angel Reyes came in 2nd place in Boys Doubles. Playing on Saturday in the A Division for San Saba were Kadence Isham, Josselin Rojas, Perla Gil, Daisy Macias, Mia Davila, Mariana Macedo, Adriana Macedo, Marlane Rodriguez, Jaritzel Rojas, Adrian Correa, and Kevin Aguilera. In 7th Grade Girls Singles Kadence Isham came in 3rd Place. Josselin Rojas came in 4th place. In 8th Grade Mixed Doubles, Adriana Macedo and Kevin Aguilera came in 3rd place. In 8th Grade Girls Doubles, Mia Davia and Mariana Macedo came in 4th place. In 8th Grade Girls Singles, Marlane Rodriguez won consolation defeating teammate Jaritzel Rojas.
The Middle School will be hosting a Tournament in San Saba on Saturday, April 29. This will be the largest tournament San Saba has played in this year. Teams playing in Tournament besides San Saba are, Copperas Cove, Brownwood, Fredericksburg, Blanco, Llano, Mason, Santa Anna and Lometa.
Everyone come out and support the Dillos Middle School Tennis Team Saturday, April 29 at the Ralph Cox Tennis Center. We will be playing from 8:00 a.m. until around 7:00 p.m.
Congratulations to our Tennis Regional Qualifiers. J. Farris ended up one place away from the State Tennis Tournament!
