The newest exhibit is "Canvas and Quilts: The Art of Ira and Kathy Kennedy". This show features Ira's unique dot paintings which tell stories of the connection between people and nature. Kathy's kaleidoscopic quilts use fabric panels of Ira's art along with her own designs inspired by the natural world. The juxtaposition of two distinct art forms—dot painting, with its ties to the Australian art tradition, and quilting, with its own legacy of storytelling through fabric—creates a unique dialogue.
The opening reception is on Saturday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m., and the show runs from June 28 to September 28.
The Llano Art Guild is located at 503 Bessemer Ave, Llano TX 78643.
Hours:
Thursday - Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
