Kerrville Renaissance Festival begins this weekend for its 9th appearance at the River Star Arts and Events Park for a three-weekend run January 18 through February 2.
The entertainment lineup includes favorite performers from past years along with several new attractions. Confirmed entertainers on eight stages include:
- King Edwin the Great and his Court
- Judas and Magnolia - escape artists
- Tribal Circus (formerly Marty the Juggler) - juggling knives and torches
- Dublin Harpers - family of harpers and dancers in the Irish and Scottish traditions
- Wolgemut - early music pipes and drums
- Vinland Texas Vikings - living history reenactors
- The Bard O'Neill
- Loreley Pearl Beach Mermaid
- Last Chance Forever, Bird of Prey Conservancy
- Magical Mystical Michael - comedy magic
- Ermagerd the Bard - songstress and storyteller
- Bedouin Dancers
- Piper David Hazlett
- Circus Dreams and Co- Hula Hoop showcase
- Carriage Rides
- Rose and Thorny - bawdy comedy and original songs
- Dr. Judas Lynch - mind reader
- Stargazer Aerials - with Jessaca Dawn

New additions include an Op Maze with different themed backdrops such as Steampunk, High Seas, Dragons and Knights, Fantasy, plus Giant 3D dragon sculptures.
Guests can shop the Renaissance Festival Marketplace, offering handmade wooden toys, leather accessories, clothing, hats, glassware, jewelry, and more.
The Food Court will serve favorites such as funnel cake, cinnamon-roasted nuts, crepes, turkey legs, kettle corn, jerky, spaghetti cones, mac n cheese brisket, paired with craft beer, wine, mead, and other drink options.
