Yes, I know it is not even Halloween yet, but your dedicated City Crews are already hard at work getting Mill Pond Park ready for the spectacular Christmas Lights show!
You may ask - Why do they start so soon? Here are a couple of reasons that come to mind.
- The City Crews ALREADY have full work schedules. Other tasks on their to-do lists don't just magically disappear so they can put up the Christmas lights for us. No, they have to fit this in somewhere between emergencies and their regular duties.
- If you have ever toured the dancing Christmas lights at Mill Pond Park, you know it is not just "a few" lights in "a simple display or two." Nope, our City Crews work tirelessly to make the display something fantastic that tourists will always remember and San Sabans will cherish.

Many of you, like me, drive through the Mill Pond Park west entrance just to drive by the peaceful waterfall. If that describes you, you noticed it is marked off as the City Crews are already hanging the lights for the colorful "light tunnel" you have when you exit the light show during the Christmas holiday season.

You can see two seasons in this photo... 1 - the Splash Pad for summer in the background, and 2 - the Christmas star lights that line the road on the south entrance to Mill Pond Park.

The Gazebo does not get left out of the incredible display of Christmas lights!

This area is just to your right when you enter the park from Hwy 190 on the north side of the park. This area has sooooo many different displays in it! Just wait until you see them all lit up!

Mill Pond Park is a beautiful place to visit - every season of the year!
