Congratulations to the Citizen’s Academy participants on the completion of our first Citizen’s Academy. We ended the class with K9 Encounters where participants learned about how our county utilizes their latest K9 Deputy. Participants also watched a K9 demonstration by Deputy Merriman and K9 Andor.
We had some exciting guests during our Citizens Academy: DA Elect Thomas Perry, County Judge Jody Fauley, and JP/ Municipal Judge Blossman. Participants learned a lot about the local court systems and had some great discussions.
San Saba PD assisted us with presentations as well. The different presentations were on General Law, Resiliency, Safety at Home, Criminal Investigations/Crime Scenes, Procedures, Jail/Dispatch, Local Courts, K9 Encounters.
Our next Citizen’s Academy will be in the Spring of 2025. Keep an eye on this page or the San Saba News and Star for applications in the new year.
