Central Texas Electric Cooperative (CTEC) is proud to announce a contribution to the Cooperative Development Foundation’s (CDF) Disaster Recovery Fund to assist cooperatives, families, and communities impacted by the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene. This fund plays a critical role in helping cooperative businesses recover and rebuild after natural disasters.
The aftermath of Hurricane Helene has severely disrupted many cooperatives, leaving them struggling to return to normal operations. CDF’s Disaster Recovery Fund provides direct support to cooperatives affected by disasters, helping them restore essential services to their communities. Central Texas Electric Co-op’s $1,000 donation is aimed at helping those cooperatives get back to business as quickly and effectively as possible.
"We believe in the cooperative principle of concern for community," said Tachi Hinojosa, CEO at Central Texas Electric Co-op. "By supporting the CDF Disaster Recovery Fund, we’re standing in solidarity with our fellow cooperatives, families, and communities impacted by this disaster. It’s essential that we come together to help rebuild these vital businesses and services."
Central Texas Electric Co-op is calling on others to join in this effort to support co-ops in need. Every donation to the CDF Disaster Recovery Fund makes a difference in helping cooperatives recover from the disruption and financial challenges brought on by Hurricane Helene.
How You Can Help: Individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to contribute to the CDF Disaster Recovery Fund. Your support will ensure that cooperatives affected by the hurricane can continue to serve their communities and provide critical services during this recovery period.
