More than 50 percent of US households respond to 2020 census

After just 42 days, more than 50 percent of American households have responded to the 2020 Census. The country reached the important milestone on Saturday, April 18, with 44.4 percent of the questionnaire responses taking place online, and the other 5.6 percent by phone or mail.

Texas receives approval for SNAP online grocery purchases

Texas Health and Human Services recently received federal approval to allow Texans to purchase groceries online using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pilot program is expected to start by May 18 statewide.
