Due to September 11th, 2001, and the many requests of ‘what can we do?’ on January 23, 2002, San Saba County and (then) Scott & White brought the FIRST blood drive to San Saba. It began in honor of Annette Hooten who was the San Saba ISD Registrar at the time and was a leukemia patient.

Over the past several months, I have been learning Spanish. Rather, I have been relearning Spanish. I took three years of Spanish in high school, and I remember a few things. But like most things in life, if you don’t use it, you lose it. Recently, I started an online course.
