I’ve decided to make no resolutions this year. I don’t know when I first started making those pesky things, but at 76 it should have been more than enough to fix many issues. I’m not skinnier, prettier, healthier, or younger. All those years of trying to better myself have brought nothing.

Wednesday, the 27th of December, was the day scheduled for an upstairs cleanup of the old bank. At first sight, it was daunting. Franky Soto was there with his crew of two. Dolores Mask and I were the first of the volunteers to make an appearance.

SS County Museum receives new artifacts

Even though the museum was closed in December, it was still a busy place. Besides the county 6th graders touring, several artifacts that expand on our county’s story were donated. Jason Lewis brought two bul-let pencils and a check from the 1910s to be added to the First National Bank display.

Retired teachers honor Elizabeth Johnson

The recently retired teachers of Richland Springs met together at Hacienda Leon for a birthday celebration in honor of Elizabeth Johnson. It was a happy, and just a tad rowdy at times, group of ladies. I can’t say I was prepared for the loud birthday song.
