San Saba County is now under a BURN BAN
The Commissioners' Court met at 4:30 p.m. today, July 2, 2024, for an emergency meeting due to the dry conditions and the heavy fire fuel in the county.
A Burn Ban has been reinstated for San Saba County as of today.
What does this mean for you?
You are encouraged to attend the public fireworks display and not shoot them off on your property. It is a Class C Misdemeanor to violate the Burn Ban.

Can you still cook out on July 4th?
It has to be a controlled burn such as in a grill with a grate, not just an open fire, and it must be monitored.
See the attached Order by the Commissioners' Court.
The Commissioners' Court will meet again next Tuesday, July 9th, at 9 a.m.
