HOWDY from Bend, I hope everyone had a wonderful week. We certainly got some much needed rain. The Colorado River, like many other rivers and creeks, filled up this past week thanks to the recent rains. Barefoot Fishing Camp reported getting 1.2” of rain, while others in the area received up to 10 inches.
I’d like to wish my mom, Linda Wilson, a Happy Birthday! She celebrated her young 61 years on May 6, 2024.
Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend so don’t forget to call your mom if you are still lucky enough to have her!
My bonus son,Anthony Henniger (grandson of Patsy Henniger), is graduating Saturday, May 11th, from Texas A&M Central Texas with his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Graduation will be held at Bell County Expo Center at 3 p.m. Congratulations to Anthony, your dad (Pete Henniger), would be so very proud of you!!!
Mary Frances Herrington of Colony, passed away on April 26, 2024. I had the privilege of meeting this sweet woman many times at the Bend Church of Christ. Friends called her departure on this earth a happy time; Frances was at peace. Services will be held at a later date for friends and family.
