Sip N’ Stroll/Christmas Parade this weekend

The San Saba community can partake in a spirited celebration Saturday, Dec. 13 as the Chamber of Commerce ushers in the Christmas season with events like a Sip N’ Stroll, a lighted Christmas Parade, live music and an appearance by Santa!

The event kicks off with the Sip N’ Stroll through downtown San Saba.

The Chamber describes the event saying: “Wander the charming streets of San Saba as Texas Hill Country wineries treat you to exclusive tastings and sales. With your ticket, you’ll enjoy 10 wine tastings while exploring our festively decorated shops and businesses, each brimming with holiday magic.”

Tickets are available online at eventeny.com/events/ ticket/?id=21296 or can be picked up at the visitor center (113 S. High St) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. (pick up only) or Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Ticket costs increase on the day of the event.) Must be 21+ to participate in the tastings.

The celebration continues at The Daily Mix (106 S. Cherokee) as Santa Claus arrives for free pictures with kids.

Live music will also start at 2 p.m. As Loraine Johnson performs at the Courthouse Square until 6 p.m. while the River City Band will perform in front of Arrowhead Bank from 6 p.m. -6:30 p.m.

This all leads into the lighted parade starting at 6:30 p.m. (Lineup will be at the corner of Commerce and 7th from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.)

The parade route will travel from 7th Street, continue down Wallace St./US Hwy 190 to Live Oak. The parade will continue down Commerce back to 7th Street.

After the parade, Mill Pond Park will keep Christmas bright with lighted decorations on display.
