• Information of entities that may need to be contacted by the Silsbee Economic Development Corporation for clarification
of any information in this application. State full name, business name, address, and phone number.

Brown noted she is hosting a Zoom meeting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 23 to review the application and answer questions. The meeting ID number is 7950810355.

The application period is until Friday, May 1 and can be downloaded from the website. Applications must be mailed or post marked by the deadline to Silsbee EDC, 1220 Highway 327 East, Silsbee, TX 77656.

Brown stated the Silsbee EDC board will hold an executive meeting to review and approve grants.

The largest businesses with highest number of employees and sales tax revenue can receive up to $10,000; sole proprietorship or "mom & pops" can receive $1,000-$2,500; and the remaining categories range from $2,500 to $7,500 depending on the size and need.

The business must sign a performance agreement in which they agree to use the money to retain jobs, create new jobs lost during the pandemic, or for any capital improvements that will sustain and grow the business. Agreement expires one year from the date signed at which point the business is required to show the Silsbee EDC sales/financial reports and employment reports for 2020.
