The Mill Pond Park will be abuzz with activity and music Saturday, Dec. 6 as the San Saba Strong Fest kicks off at 11 a.m.
Entry to the event will be free but donations will be accepted with proceeds going to help rebuild San Saba and aid those affected by the floods that happened this summer.
The event kicks off with a classic car show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drivers and spectators will be able to get a bite to eat and find some cool keepsakes and info from a large number of vendors planned to attend.
Vendors will be set up from noon to 6 p.m. offering food and unique crafts, boutique items, pillows, blankets and more. Veterans groups will also be on hand to share information.
This all leads to a concert featuring live music from some big acts. Tommy Kaufman takes the stage from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Patrick Henry follows from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sony/Clinetel recording artist Chris Chitsey will wrap things up from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Chitsey will also be filming footage for his music video of 'Where Ya Been Girl' due to come out in January. Fans in the audience can enjoy the music and get a chance to be in the video.
