San Saba Lodge to meet Saturday

The regular stated meeting will be Saturday, November 5th. William Jake Lackey will provide the main course meal of enchiladas, which will be served at 6:30 p.m. Lodge will open at 7:00 p.m. Also, Masons and Mason’s helpers are reminded to provide their community service reports for October. As November is the month for Veterans Day, the Lodge wishes to recognize its veterans who have served our country: Thomas L. Alston, Arthur E. Campbell, Larry W. Cottrell, Ross J. Cox, Sr., Trenton Hamrick, George Hunter Hibler, Olin Burt Holland, Jan K. Huffstetler, Edward D. Jones, Jr., Earnest Roy Jones, Roger N. McGehee, Gilbert Nelson Page, William Wayne “Bill” Price, James E. “Red” Ragsdale, John D. Rhoades, Robert Milton Schreier, Jimmy Dale Spivey and James L. Weese.

The Masonic Grand Lodge in Waco has a veteran’s exhibit at its library and museum. All Texas Masons who have ever served, in both war and peace, from 1835 to present, are asked to submit a photograph. The photograph must be in black and white and sized 2 ½ X 3 ½ (wallet size) with the head and shoulders in uniform. Any relative or person may submit the form at no cost. The form may be obtained from the secretary at 325-205-0180.

The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 191 will he holding a fundraiser at the Lodge Hall on Saturday, November 12th, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or until sold out. Served will be soup, chili, crackers, cornbread, tea, brownies and cookies.

On Saturday, December 3rd, the OES chapter will conduct a Bake Sale on the square in San Saba from 9:00 AM – 11:00 a.m. or until sold out. The proceeds from both sales will benefit nonprofit organizations in the community.
