On December 7, 2021 at approximately 12:40 p.m., San Saba County Sheriff’s Office was informed by Lampasas County that there was a vehicle pursuit about to enter San Saba County on US Highway 190, east of San Saba, heading westbound.
San Saba Sheriff, David L. Jenkins, Chief Deputy Dwayne M. Shaw, and Deputy Ty Mann headed to the east side of San Saba County to assist. The vehicle was met at 5-Mile Hill and San Saba County entered in the pursuit.
The suspect's vehicle traveled into the City Limits of San Saba, making several evasive turns on city streets, then getting on State Highway 16 heading north. Mills County Sheriff’s Office was notified.
The suspect then continued to evade law enforcement units and turned onto FM 500 just north of the city of San Saba. The suspect traveled to and then turned on County Road 137, the Regency Bridge road, and traveled into Mills County.
The suspect then continued to evade law enforcement and continued on county roads coming out into Brown County, who had already been notified. The suspect continued to evade multiple officers from multiple jurisdictions until the suspect was finally taken into custody in Brookesmith at approximately 2:00 p.m. and was transported by Brown County Sheriff’s Office to the Brown County jail.
The suspect faces multiple felony charges from four different counties: Lampasas, San Saba, Mills, and Brown. The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
