Earlier this month our county hosted its 90th annual County Youth Fair in conjunction with the County Livestock Show. Many kids displayed their skills by entering things like photography, woodworking, science, watercolor, and many other categories. This year, Richland Spring students really cleaned house and took over Youth Fair! We’re happy to announce the winners in the following divisions and categories.
Crafts Division
The Grand Champion is Bryce Johnson in the K-2 Woodworking category and Reserve Champion is Todd Cavness in the 9-12 Woodworking category. The Age Group Champions are Bryce Johnson in K-2, Dakota Uli in 3-5, Fallon Josoto in 6-8, and Todd Cavness in 9-12.
Education
The Grand Champion is Kaylee Salas in the 3-5 History category and Reserve Champion is Makayla Kubin in the 3-5 Science category. The Age Group Champions are Casen Patterson in K-2, Kaylee Salas in 3-5, Emma Bryant in 6-8, and Skyla Johnson in 9-12. Art
The Grand Champion is Skyla Shannon in the 9-12 Pen and Ink category, and the Reserve Champion is Dakota Uli in the 3-5 Acrylic/Tempera category. The Age Group Champions are Foster Locker in K-2, Dakota Uli in 3-5, Brooklyn Allison in 6-8, and Skyla Shannon in 9-12.
Technology
The Grand Champion is Hutton Rogers in the 9-12 PowerPoint category and Reserve Champion is Ian Mckinnerney in 6-8 PowerPoint category. The Age Group Champions are Makayla Kubin in 3-5, Landry Brown in 6-8, and Hutton Rogers in 9-12.
Photography
The Grand Champion is Fallon Josoto in the 6-8 Animals category, and the Reserve Champion is Fallon Josoto in the 6-8 Animals category. The Age Group Champions are Gage Falkner in 3-5 Nature/ Landscape/Aquatic, and Fallon Josoto in the 6-8 Animals.
Food
The Grand Champion is Dakota Uli in the 3-5 Layered Cake category and winner of the $100 prize donated by Kevin Shahan, CPA! Reserve Champion is Cecilia Tavera in the 3-5 Bar Cookies category and winner of the $50 prize donated by the San Saba Garden Club. Dakota Uli is the 3-5 Age Group Champion.
