The day started off early with a big parade and ended with an epic fireworks display.

This great celebration would not be possible without the amazing support of our Star & Stripes Sponsors. We can’t say “Thank You” enough for helping to keep this annual event thriving!

Please patronize and thank these great sponsors when you have the opportunity: McKinnerney Real Estate, Mann Glass, Coyote One Stop, Power Tackle, Inc., The Feedlot, Rafter C Custom Leather, Commercial National Bank, Agro Fuel, Arrowhead Bank, Ace Disposal, San Saba Produce, City National Bank, Harry’s Boots, Jordan Cattle Auction, Klassic Designs, and Texas Water Well Service.

The Howlers Club has many individuals and organizations we’d like to thank for their support and help with this growing event. I will start off by thanking Judge Byron Theodosis, Precinct 2 Commissioner Rickey Lusty, Mayor Johnie Reeves and the Richland Springs City Council for all of their support. Many thanks also go to Sheriff David Jenkins and his staff for their presence and support.

Thank you to the Richland Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Jeffery Bates and his crew, for providing the building and the fish fry. Thanks also go to Richland Springs Beautification Committee for the patriotic light pole banners, the City Park flower bed, and the city wide cleanup efforts leading up to our Celebration.

We thank our coaches and student athletes for setting up and cleaning up, and the Church of Christ and First Baptist Church for the use of their parking lots. Lastly, thank you to John and

Lastly, thank you to John and Jessica Scales and Mondo Garcia and his family. We are blessed with amazing volunteers and organizations! Thank you, everyone, mission accomplished!

Many exciting events were scattered throughout the day. The 2020 Parade Grand Marshal was Mrs. Beatrice Soto who led the parade riding in a 2020 Blue Ford Mustang Convertible. The Howlers Club would like to say thank you to Brownwood Big Country Ford Lincoln for sponsoring the Parade Grand Marshal car. Even though it was probably the hottest Stars & Stripes on record, we had the best turn out of vendors with a total of 20. A majority of the craft vendors set up under our awesome 100+ year old Community Tabernacle. The Howlers Club would like to thank all the vendors that attended this year and hope you make your way back in 2021.

Many people walked away with custom belt buckles and awesome glass trophies. We would like to thank Mann Glass for once again providing the awesome trophies for the celebration this year. They are definitely a showpiece! Many generous individuals sponsored the Wild Hog Sacking belt buckles, and we would like to recognize and thank them. They are: Larry & Valerie Barker, Grant & Patsy Hall, Michael & Kimbra Hobbs, Linda Bailey, the Ransom family, John Mask Construction & family, the Petersen family, Agro Fuel, Shadetree Predator Control, Elisabeth Johnson’s Plunder Design Stylist Sparkle and Smiles, and Gilmore Cakes by Elissa.

The Wild Hog Calling belt buckle was sponsored by McKinnerney Real Estate.

Thank you to Larry Griffen for organizing the 42 Domino Tournament. The Silent Auction was once again a big hit. Most everything was handmade/ handcrafted by locals who did not disappoint! We have amazingly talented folks within our county. We had bakers and canners galore! The first edition of the Richland Springs Pride of Stars & Stripes Country Fair Bonanza had a great turnout. All the champions in each division were awarded an embroidered apron.

Thank you to everyone that participated.

Last, but definitely not least, we have to give a big thank you to the guys that produced the amazing fireworks show! Thank you to Gunner Mann, Ty Mann, Mondo Garcia, and Lane Garcia. Job well done!

The Howlers Club looks forward to our 25th Annual Stars & Stripes Celebration on Saturday, July 3, 2021!

We are already planning to make the 25th Anniversary the biggest and best one yet!
