The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation announced the opening of registration for the 2024 Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Directors and Employee Workshop. The annual workshop will be held at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center in Temple on April 2-3, 2024.
This workshop provides attendees with the opportunity to learn more about their duties of the Soil and Water Conservation District Program and how to address issues relevant to the state of Texas’ natural resources.
Additionally, the workshop focuses on the partnership of state, federal and local entities of government working together to deliver financial and technical assistance to the 216 Soil and Water Conservation Districts in Texas.
'As the landscape of leadership and conservation continue to change, it's imperative for those caring for the natural resources of Texas to stay well-versed of the latest trends. TSSWCB recognizes the importance of education and outreach efforts and strives to provide learning opportunities to our local SWCDs,” said Rex Isom, TSSWCB Executive Director.
