Sonora Rein Hayes is a 7 yr old cowgirl from Salado, TX!
Sonora is the daughter of Kassidee Bowen and Stephen Hayes of Salado. Sonora was destined to be a cowgirl! Sonora’s mother, grandmother and great grandmother were all cowgirls~ her grandfather rodeoed as well, in the steer wrestling and team roping.
Rodeo has always been a part of Sonora’s life, and she is grateful to continue living the cowboy lifestyle.
Sonora likes to train ponies & barrel race! She loves her horse, My Pretty Boy Floyd! Sonora and Floyd have won Open races, youth races and youth rodeo’s all over TX! They have qualified for Vegas Tuffest 2x and they were the Teague All Around Champions for Teague’s youth rodeo in 2025.
Sonora hopes to become a horse trainer when she grows up! She has always wants to be a cowgirl~ Sonora enjoys spending time with her dogs and her kitty cat. Sonora also loves to read and draw! One of Sonora’s top goals for 2026 is to qualify again for Vegas Tuffest and compete at several Youth Rodeo’s this summer.
