The Pierian Study Club and guests celebrated their Christmas Guest Tea on December 10, 2020, at the San Saba Hotel. The Entertainment Committee, composed of Patty Shaw, Chairman, Sissy Williams, Karen Henson, Brooke Bagley, Kathy McEwin, Martha Leigh Miller, Sherry Ruddick and Kay Stowell, were hostesses for the event.
Members and guests were welcomed into the foyer of the beautiful remodeled hotel. A 15-foot decorated Christmas Tree was the focal point of the large room. Christmas décor was throughout the room.
Approximately 23 members and guests were served a delicious assortment of refreshments including finger sandwiches, sausage balls, frosted grapes, pecans, peppermint bark, a Ferrero Rocher chocolate ball and finally a traditional Christmas sugar cookie. A luscious champagne and cranberry juice punch was served as well.
Members brought their Angel Tree gifts that will be given to children in the community. The Christmas Angel Tree is one of the projects which the Pierian Club sponsors each year.
The next meeting will be on January 14, 2021, at the new Pecan House Grill.
