Program will address insect identification, treatment

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Bexar County Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee will present the Managing Hay and Pasture Insect Pests online program August 18th.
The webinar, which will be given via Microsoft Teams, will be from noon to 1 p.m. Registered attendees will be provided a link to the webinar a few days prior to the program.
“This program will address the identification and treatment of insect pests that can harm pastures and negatively impact hay quality,” said Sam Womble, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Bexar County.
The program will be presented by Womble and Vanessa Corriher-Olson, Ph.D., associate professor and AgriLife Extension forage specialist, Overton.
Regular registration is free, but for those needing continuing education unit credit, the cost is $10. One hour of Texas Department of Agriculture integrated pest management credit will be offered.
