Okay Folks, one more weekend of seeing this Star in Oliver Twist at Hill Country Community Theater. Holdin Boswell is the 11-year-old son of Bucky and Katie Boswell of Llano, (Bucky formerly of San Saba now working in Horseshoe Bay). Bucky came across information on auditioning for this play on a Monday. He asked if Holdin would like to audition for a part. Holdin auditioned on Tuesday and Saturday got the call: would you like to play the part of Oliver Twist? Holdin said, 'Yes!'.
Holdin also enjoys singing and dancing as well and has even from a very young age.
I can remember keeping him as a four-year-old, me being his Memaw who likes to take pictures, and he would say, ''Don't take my picture.' That is no longer the case!
Holdin has received outstanding reviews for his portrayal of Oliver; he has a bright future ahead.
He is no stranger to a microphone: MC at the Fall Festival here in San Saba and also the Spring Ho Festival in Lampasas as well as AquaBoom Pageant in Kingsland. Holdin very easily makes friends and has an outstanding personality. We see good things happening for him.
Oliver Twist runs through August 6th, so get your tickets soon. One more weekend is all! The show runs Friday and Saturday nights and also has a Sunday Matinee. Just a side note, I only had tears once!
This show is about a malnourished orphan boy who ends up with a loving family. Hats off to our very own Kay Lynn Scott with Performance Talent in San Saba. Thanks for all you did for our Star.
