A special Merry Christmas Greeting to every individual and home and especially to the newspaper and staff. We have so many blessings to be thankful for. The country we live in, the freedoms and opportunities available to us. Also, freedom of Religion not forced on us and freedom to speak our minds and especially freedom of the press.
But what happened that night over 2000 years ago and why? The main reason was mankind was separated from God because of sin, (Romans 3:23). Did God have a solution? Isaiah 7:14 says, “There fore the Lord Himself will give you a sign; Behold the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and she will name Him Immanuel”. Which means God with us. And in Matthew 1:21, “She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins; Luke 2:1-7 tell the location and where and why. Can you imagine the future King of Kings and Lord of Lord being born in livestock pens and laid in a livestock feeding trough. He lived a short life, died a horrible death all for one reason so our sins could be forgiven, (John 1:29, Romans 5:8, John 3:16).
There is no other way or name whereby sins can be forgiven, (John 10:9-13, Acts 4:12).
Let us enjoy this special Holiday but let’s remember the reason for the season.
