Rick’s One Stop owned by Sukarma Poudel, but known by Kriti, was established approximately 30 years ago. Kriti took over Rick’s One Stop located at 307 N. High Street in San Saba in 2019. “It was my dream to own my own business and to work for myself. I got the chance to understand and know the importance of a small business to a community and to the US economy when I was doing a research paper on small businesses in college. After graduation, I started working as an apprentice in Stephenville for three years. In 2019, I moved to San Saba and started operating Rick’s One Stop,” stated Kriti.
Sukarma feels like San Saba is a hometown with kind, helpful residents and loves the community support and enjoys feeling like part of the community.
