The MFR Grant opens April 1st - April 30th. The application can be found online during that month.
There are three treatment options to choose from:
- Hand-cut treatment ($750/Acre) or,
- Combination treatment ($1,500) or,
- Mulched treatment ($2000/Acre).
LANDOWNER ASSISTANCE
The goal of this grant program is to reduce the risk of home loss to wildfire through the use of accepted mechanical fuel reduction practices. Work will be conducted by a hired contractor of the landowner’s choosing. The contracting service hired must not be affiliated with the landowner. Work cannot be conducted by the landowner. Previouswork conducted before pre-inspections will not be accepted. This grant is competitive, and selection will be based on the goal of reducing wildfire risk to homes.
