Making San Saba Beautiful

Do you ever wonder how the beautiful flowers around downtown get there? They don't just magically appear. Keep San Saba Beautiful works their magic to make our downtown beautiful and welcoming to visitors and community members alike.

Keep San Saba Beautiful, led by Kathleen Hawkins, spends many hours planting, replanting, cleaning out flower beds, and checking on the flower beds to make sure San Saba puts their best foot forward in the beautification department.

KSSB gets help from many volunteers, members in their club, and some City employees. Tuesday morning, before most people were at work, I found City employee Buddy Whitley driving around watering all the flowers in his little water jeep.

So, the next time you stroll or drive by the dazzling display of flowers downtown, and smile, remember the wonderful volunteers that make this possible. Have a beautiful, flowering day!
