On July 1st, Joel L. Kuykendall, a member of the Mason, Texas, Lions Club since 2011 and a resident of San Saba County, was installed as District Governor of Lions Club District 2-A1.
District 2-A1 encompasses an area from Kingsland to Midland and from Sweetwater to Sonora and has 52 Lions Clubs. Governor Joel's term will last one year, after which he will become active in other areas as a Past District Governor.
Governor Joel's governor's pin was designed to represent different aspects of the district, including his family's rich history as Hereford ranchers in San Saba County.
