Receipts totaled 5,127 head for the week. Demand continued to be very good on a very active market. The stocker steers were steady to $3 higher compared to last weeks increases with 5 steers 508 lbs @ $194.00 ($985.52). Stocker heifers were steady to $1-$2 higher. Feeder steers were $3-$5 higher with 4 steers 700 lbs @ $164.00 ($1,148.00) and 85 steers 828 lbs @ $143.00 ($1,184.04). Feeder heifers were $5-$8 higher with 16 heifers 763 lbs @ $145.00 ($1,106.35). Packer cows were steady with the top cow at $76.00, and bulls were $1-$2 higher with the highest bull weighing 2,155 lbs @ $108.50 ($2,338.18). Pairs and bred cows were steady. The Shady Oak Charolais bulls averaged $3,621.75 with the bulls selling from $3,000 to $5,000, and the SimAngus bulls averaged $3,375.00.
