Receipts totaled 1,995 head. Demand continued strong this week on calves and yearlings along with packer cows and bulls. The stocker steers and heifers sold steady with 69 heifers 489 lbs at $153.00 ($748.17), 9 heifers 584 lbs at $144.00 ($840.96), 19 steers 333 lbs at $208.00 ($692.64) and 2 steers 630 lbs at $166.00 ($1,045.80). The feeder steers and heifers sold $3 higher with 6 steers 714 lbs at $144.00 ($1028.16) and 31 head 784 lbs at $138.50 ($1,085.84). Packer cows were $5-$10 higher with the top cow at $83, and packer bulls sold steady. Pairs and bred cows sold steady on a limited test. The Knox Brothers 30 Hereford bulls averaged $3900 ranging from $2,700 up to $5,750, and the 13 Angus bulls averaged $3,100 ranging from $2,600 up to $4,000.
