Receipts totaled 1,790 head. The market improved as the week went by with Monday being limit down on the futures board due to the larger number of cattle being placed in the feedyards than was anticipated. Good rains (2-ten inches) fell throughout a good part of the area and improved the potential for wheat field grazing. With this, the stocker steers were steady to $5 higher, and stocker heifers were steady to $2 higher with 4 steers 423 lbs at $320.00 ($1353.60) and 12 heifers 595 lbs at $224.00 ($1332.80). The feeder steers were $4-$6 lower with 32 steers 656 lbs at $232.00 ($1521.92). The feeder heifers were $6-$7 lower. Packer cows were $2-$3 higher, and bulls were steady. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test.
