Brother J
Due to the COVID-19 dangers we have been staying close to home. It has been a year with many problems. Many have lost loved ones or trying to recover from the virus. Untold numbers have lost jobs, and many good businesses forced to close. It has been so hard on parents and children in schools or colleges; one day in school, then many days out. And a year of so many hurricanes bringing terrible losses to property and in other areas severe drought. Many Churches forced to close their doors and could not hold services, yet many bars open to all. We have seen so much unrest, rioting, looting, turmoil and destruction in many areas of our country. Sad, sad this year’s elections with so many claims of fraudulent voting.
We are also seeing growing numbers of people that do not believe in God and Christian values. We constantly hear “Peace, Peace,” but Jesus did not come to bring peace but forgiveness of sins and eternal life, (Luke 12:51, John 14:1&27, 15:18, 16:1-4)).
Guess what, these things were predicted over 2000 years ago, and it is going to get worse. But God will take care of those trusting in Christ, (John 16:33). We are to look to Him and know that He is in control. He has wonderful plans for us and a wonderful future, (Jeremiah 29:11, 2 Timothy 4:8&18). See you in Church next Sunday if possible.
