Greg McGregor

I was raised in San Saba and both maternal and paternal sides of my family have over five generations of heritage in San Saba County. My wife, Paula, and I have six beautiful grandchildren.

After graduation from San Saba High School, I attended Angelo State University where I earned a bachelor degree in accounting. I enlisted in the Army and served ten years on active duty. I was recruited to join a company located in the Dallas area and worked for them in several leadership roles. I had just completed my Masters of Business Administration at the University of North Texas when 9/11 occurred. I rejoined the military with a strong desire to serve during the War on Terror. The end of my military career found me as Comptroller with responsibility for half a billion dollar budget for the Texas Army National Guard.

My wife and I returned to San Saba to live full-time eleven years ago. I enjoy ranching, instructing defensive and long range precision gun classes. I am also certified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as both a License to Carry and School Safety instructor. We are blessed to be able to travel to watch our grandchildren play sports and to support all their endeavors. They are the light of our lives.

I have been a member of San Saba’s First Baptist Church for most of my life. I currently serve as a deacon, as a member of the safety team and have served as the director of the disaster relief team. I also serve as a Gideon to get the Gospel of Christ distributed both locally and throughout the world. I believe and trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Currently, I enjoy serving as the County Commission for Precinct 4 in San Saba County and would like the opportunity to see through the two million dollars worth of FEMA projects for which I’ve applied. It would be an honor and privilege to continue to serve in this capacity.
