Beth Griess, immediate Past President of the San Saba Rotary, installed new President, Dr. James “Buck” Gilcrease, and welcomed members to the regularly Thursday weekly meeting of Rotary at Pepper-Belly’s.
Officers for the 2023-2024 year are: Dr. Gilcrease, President; Marcus Wood, President Elect; Kevin Shahan, Treasurer and Flags Program Chair; Jacqueline Carlson, Executive Secretary; Anne Homan Vincent, Board Secretary and Reporter; Pat Johnson, Scribe; Tom Griess, Sergeant at Arms; Jerry Blankenship, Education Chair; Aleck Newby, Golf Tournament Chair; and Tom and Lynn McHenry, Foundation Chairs.
President Gilcrease thanked Beth Griess for her successful tenure as President for 20222023 and presented her with a commemorative plaque in appreciation for her service. Dr. Gilcrease then provided insights into his professional life as an educator with 30 years in public education, 16 of those years as superintendent. He is currently serving as part-time interim School Superintendent of San Saba ISD.
