San Saba County Volunteer Fire Department staff received a call Friday evening, March 11th, to a home actively burning at the intersection of Thomas Stewart Drive and East Church Street. A male occupant was able to vacate the home without injuries. According to SSVFD personnel, the house was a total loss as it was engulfed in flames upon arrival. On Monday, March 14th, at 11:41 a.m., San Saba Volunteer Fire Department was called to a house fire located in the 500 block of East Church Street. The structure was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived a few minutes later. No one occupied the home. The fire was extinguished at approximtely 1:40 p.m. The house, a pickup, and a RV were all destroyed in the blaze. No firefighters suffered injuries battling this fire.
