The City of San Saba is offering a reward of $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person who is found guilty of destroying, mutilating or gaining entry into any public property within the City of San Saba, Mayor Harry Shapiro announced this week.
The reward has been contributed by several local citizens in an effort to apprehend or stop the vandalism which has been taking place here, City Secretary James Reavis stated.
During the early hours on the morning of Jan. 17, considerable property damage was done by shooting into various places and destroying the street lights. After the shooting, several citizens reported later in the day they heard the shots. Reavis stated that if they had reported the incident immediately after hearing the shots, the offenders possibly could have been caught at that hour.
