This week is "Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week." We want to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff for their dedication to the education of our children, especially during the COVID-19 changes to the education process. The children of today will be the leaders of our nation for tomorrow. So goes the leaders, so goes our nation, and so goes our future. We truly appreciate you, the teachers and staff, who form the ideals of our future leaders. We truly appreciate the day-today work behind the scenes that goes unnoticed. Thanks so much for what you do each and every day. It’s great to be a Coyote!!

Richland Springs is proud to announce our valedictorian and salutatorian. Class Valedictorian is Ms. Jaianna Smith, and class Salutatorian is Mr. Wade Appleton. Congratulations to each one achieving these academic honors. Best of luck to all seniors in their future endeavors! Just four weeks of school remain in the 2019-2020 school year.

Staff continues the varied methods for homebound instruction, from internet instruction to packet pickup. For our current packet pickup, teachers have materials packed individually per student and placed in a box or bin with the teacher's name on it. Principal Rhonda Wyatt will move the bins/boxes to the benches in front of the library on Monday morning, and parents will come pick up their child’s materials between 8-4 Monday. Librarian Valerie Barker also asks that all library books be returned and placed on the benches in front of the library. This “social distancing” will be safer for families and for district employees. Contact Principal Rhonda Wyatt with your concerns and questions. We are here to work with parents and students to complete this school year in a safe-as-possible manner.

Don’t forget that Sunday, May 10, is Mother’s Day. Mothers taught us everything. We learned perseverance, resiliency, kindness, and hope. Together we will overcome this pandemic and stay hopeful in these uncharted times. Happy Mother’s Day!

If you see a teacher in public, tell them how much you appreciate their efforts. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff.

Community involvement is the key to our success!
