Message from Dr. Craig Whiting:

The categories for those eligible to receive vaccine has expanded, in addition to medical and first responders now teachers, childcare workers, those over 50-years-old can receive the vaccine. The more citizens who receive the vaccine, the safer our whole community will be.

We plan to start vaccinating here in San Saba later this month. We will be calling people to invite them to schedule a time to receive the vaccine. To be registered with the county to receive the vaccine, please sign up with Baylor Scott & White Health (go online to BSWHealth.com/covid vaccine, or download and sign in to the MyBSWHealth app (test BETTER to 88408 to find it), or call 844-BSW-VACC. Any of these will register you to receive an email or be called for an appointment for the vaccine. You do not need to be a Baylor Scott & White patient to register.

The vaccine clinic in San Saba is a volunteer effort organized by the County. If you can give a Saturday afternoon to the effort during the next few months, please go online to sign up. You can find a link to the signupgenius website at the newspaper’s website or on the Facebook page for San Saba County Emergency Management. People who volunteer for this effort will receive the vaccine.

Reminder from Marsha Hardy:

Keep trying to protect yourself and those around you!

Simply: wash your hands, wear your mask, pay attention to your surroundings and, mostly, be kind!
