Message from Dr. Craig Whiting:

There have been approximately 20 residents test positive for COVID at the nursing home, four of those are currently hospitalized though only three are COVID related hospitalizations. Most of those who tested positive have no symptoms or only mild symptoms, and several are at the end of their 10- day isolation and so will be able to return to the general population of the nursing home. All the afficted are stable, both those at the home and those in the hospital.

There are multiple new cases in the community as well. The numbers in San Saba are rising daily as our county seems to experiencing an outbreak while the rest of the Hill Country region is seeing gradually decreasing cases.

On a positive note, to date there have been no deaths from COVID among San Saba residents.

Help your neighbor – wear a mask in public.
