The first event of the Keep San Saba Beautiful (KSSB) Great American/Fall Cleanup began on Saturday, October 3rd with the beautification project at the Visitor Center Plaza.

Three high school senior students from B. Bagley’s National Honor Society class volunteered to assist KSSB board members in the landscaping cleanup. Also assisting the KSSB board members were three more young volunteers, the Shahan grandchildren.

Thanks to all these volunteers, the first phase of this beautification project was completed; more phases to this project will continue at a later date.

For the cleanup project, it will continue during the week with the final cleanup date on Saturday, October 10, with the Rotary Club cleaning US 190, the Boy Scouts cleaning up the parks, and various volunteers cleaning throughout the city, highways, and waterways.
