My daughter, Clara Murray, competed in Abilene on Saturday, April 15th, at the Junior American Boer Goat Association Region 5 Show. She has put in months of practice preparing for her contests, and her hard work paid of f.
In the Junior Division, she placed 2nd High Point Overall Public Speaking Winner, 2nd Place in Goat Judging, 2nd Place in Sales Talk, 4th Place Skill-a-thon Reserve Champion Junior Pair in the Fitting Contest, and 2nd Place with her goat “Black Pearl.”
JABGA Region 5 consists of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, but any Junior member in the nation can compete. There were kids from Colorado and Kentucky as well as Texas and Oklahoma.
